SILC offer a wide range of free specialist training for PAs and their employers.

These include but aren’t limited to:

  • Good Boss training
  • 6-day 'Support with Confidence' training
  • First Aid
  • Health and Safety
  • Moving and Handling
  • Dementia awareness
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder awareness and training

Skills for Care have now opened their offer of funding towards training for people who employ Personal Assistants (PAs) to provide their care and support. The funding can pay for lots of helpful courses, for example you could arrange for your PAs to have Moving and Positioning Training in your own home, using your equipment.

SILC can help you:

  • Identify courses that suit your needs;
  • Apply for the funding; and
  • Deliver the training in a suitable venue.

The deadline for applications is 28th February 2020.

Full details of the courses on offer and training dates can be found on our partner website: (opens a new tab/window)
